The 27th overall draft pick, Byron Jones was suited in a Cowboys uniform in addition to eligible first year players linebacker Will Smith, defensive tackle Chris Whaley and offensive tackle R.J. Dill.

After practice head coach Jason Garrett said during the press conference “It doesn’t matter where you came from we will evaluate all the players with our eyes open independent of when a player was drafted or what kind of status he has coming in, that really is irrelevant to us.”
